Belföldön 15 000 Ft felett ingyenes a kiszállítás
Between the wars, the longing for beauty and glamour, elegance and luxury, raucous fun and blithe pleasures, conjured up the aesthetic taste of Art Deco. In the exhibition Art Deco Budapest, a colourful cavalcade of posters immerses viewers in the heady atmosphere and modern lifestyle of the period’s bustling metropolises, pulsating with the rhythms of a changed world.
The exhibition takes on the challenge of presenting the entire visual culture of the interwar period through the genre of posters, and also features illustrations from adverts, periodicals, books and magazines, as well as items of applied art, ranging from furniture, ceramics and glassware, clothes, shoes and fashion accessories to sheet music, designs for costumes and furnishings, and architectural drawings. The exhibition offers a complex treatment of the entire lifestyle of the period, and has involved experts from a diversity of fields, whose essays are published in the accompanying catalogue: historians and specialists in the history of architecture, film, fashion and art together paint a multifaceted picture of the age.
